Azure DevOps is a comprehensive set of tools and services offered by Microsoft to streamline and enhance the software development lifecycle. It provides a unified platform that facilitates collaboration, automation, and continuous delivery, empowering development teams to build, test, and deliver software more efficiently.
The integration of 10xWinners OKR with Azure DevOps represents a strategic synergy that combines the power of goal setting and performance management with a robust software development and delivery ecosystem. 10xWinners OKR, known for its effectiveness in driving goal alignment and achievement, seamlessly integrates with Azure DevOps to create a holistic approach to managing projects and teams.
It also enables organizations to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, resulting in more efficient, transparent, and effective development processes and outcomes.
To integrate with AzureDevOps, navigate to Manage Organization in the Main Menu and select the Integrations section in Organization settings. Then click on the AzureDevOps Tab.
On the AzurDevOps Integration page, tap on the "Configure" button to configure.
In the DevOps Configuration section, update the fields Organization and Token with DevOps details.
Get "Personal access token" from the DevOps and update in organization settings.
Now DevOps has been configured successfully and it shows an active status.
Navigate to initiatives under key results and then click on the "Initiatives" option. Here you can view many initiatives for the Quarterly KR. Then make a right click on any initiative. Then tap on the option "DevOps mapping" to sync up the status with DevOps.
In the DevOps mapping section, choose a new epic for this initiative, then click on the "Save" button below.
Status can be Optional or None (No sync for status).
The Metric type can be Count, Percentage, or None.
The number of work items will be synced as a metric count, the total number of work items will be the target value, and closed work items will be the current value. The percentage will be synced based on open and closed work items, i.e., closed/total work items * 100. If None is selected, no sync on the metric value. The count of work items can be features, user stories, story points, tasks, or bugs. Then tap on the “Save” button below.
Now, a new epic has been created and synced as per the mappings. You can also delete this epic using the delete icon available on the right of your screen.
Also, you can see an Epic has been created in DevOps.
The below user stories are created under the epic which has been already mapped to initiatives.
You can wait for an hour to get synced or click on the sync button for immediate syncing.
Now the value has been synced successfully.
Now you can map the existing work items of DevOps with the other initiatives.
Then click on DevOps mapping for other existing initiatives.
Similarly, now map the work items, state, and metric type.
The existing work item will be synched within 1 hour or click on the sync button for immediate synching.
Finally, the value is synced.
You can delete this integration at any time by clicking the below "Delete" button.
